2. Data We Collect

Account Data: Email address, name, password (hashed).

Subscription Data: Payment information is processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status, but never your card details.

Conversation Data: Messages you send and AI responses. When Private Mode is enabled, conversations are not stored.

Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device information for security and service improvement.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and maintain the Service
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions
  • To personalize your AI companion experience
  • To improve our AI models using anonymized data
  • To communicate with you about your account

4. Legal Basis (GDPR)

We process your data based on:

  • Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — to provide the Service
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — to improve and secure the Service
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — for optional features and marketing

5. Data Sharing

We share data only with:

  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Cloudflare — hosting and CDN
  • AI model providers — conversation data for generating responses (processed, not stored by third parties)

We do not sell your personal data.

6. Data Retention

Account and conversation data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through the Profile settings.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Rectify inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to processing
  • Data portability
  • Withdraw consent at any time

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (localStorage). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

9. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and secure payment processing via Stripe.

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service.
